Project purpose: The FinTechProfil – Innovative Technology for Assessing Investor Risk Profiles project aims to develop innovative digital solutions that leverage advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics to enable a new generation of investor risk profiling. The project addresses the limitations of existing risk assessment methods, which largely rely on static questionnaires and fail to account for the emotional, psychological and contextual factors that significantly influence investor behaviour. The developed solutions will enable dynamic, real-time investor profiling, a higher level of personalised investment advisory services, and compliance with the regulatory requirements of the financial sector.
Project objective: The main objective of the project is to develop two interconnected innovative products:
- A digital platform for assessing investor risk profiles;
- An AI agent for the continuous monitoring and analysis of investors’ behavioural profiles.
By developing these products, the project will enable the integration of financial data, behavioural patterns and users’ emotional responses into a unified risk assessment system, thereby improving the quality of investment advisory services and risk management. At the same time, the project will strengthen the research and innovation capacities of the project partners, support the development of high value-added products, and enhance the competitiveness of the Croatian economy through the application of advanced digital technologies in the field of Financial Technologies (FinTech).
Project description: The project is implemented by a consortium consisting of Valusense Ltd. as the project coordinator, the Ruđer Bošković Institute, and Notitia Ltd. as project partners. The consortium brings together complementary expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, data analytics, social and economic sciences, and regulatory analysis.
Throughout the implementation period, the project will carry out industrial research and experimental development activities focused on creating innovative digital solutions that enable more accurate, dynamic and continuous investor profiling. The developed system will integrate financial data, behavioural patterns and users’ emotional responses to provide personalised, transparent and regulation-compliant investor risk assessments.
The project is aligned with the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) priority area Digital Products and Platforms and contributes to strengthening research and innovation capacities, developing new products and services, accelerating the digital transformation of the financial sector, and creating competitive technological solutions with strong commercialisation potential in international markets.
